Friday 5th & Saturday 6th October 2018

FÉILTE is the Teaching Council’s Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence. It is the largest gathering of teachers in Ireland and celebrates the wonderful work that teachers do every day in their classrooms. FÉILTE gives teachers the opportunity to collaborate and to share ideas with and learn from, each other.

FÉILTE 2018 will take place on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th October in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. The theme for FÉILTE this year is 'Life-long Learning: Making a Difference!' This sits within the overarching objective of FÉILTE - Sharing Teaching, Connecting Learning.


Attendance options are as follows:


- Full Attendance (Friday and Saturday)

Take part in the two day festival of FÉILTE 2018. Opening at approximately 6:00pm on Friday 5th October, guests will be welcomed with a jam packed evening consisting of a keynote speech, panel discussion, Researchmeet, Rang Bianca and Teachmeet!

Upon closing at 9pm, attendees are encouraged to join us and socialise for a 'Teachers Got Talent' show, hosted by former Eurovision winner Paul Harrington.

On Saturday 6th October, teachers are encouraged to brush off the cobwebs at an early morning conscious clubbing dance event - Morning Gloryville - and to dance their way into the day, before visiting our showcaser's, attending a second keynote speech, and attending another panel discussion.


- Friday Evening Only (6pm to 9pm)

Join us at approximately 6:00pm on Friday 5th October for an evening comprising of a keynote speech by Wexford manager, Davy Fitzgerald, a panel discussion on ‘Education: Pedagogy of the Oppressed or Pathway to Freedom?’, Researchmeet, Rang Bianca and Teachmeet!

Upon closing at 9pm, attendees are encouraged to join us and socialise for a 'Teachers Got Talent' show, hosted by former Eurovision winner Paul Harrington.


- Saturday Only (7.30am to 2.30pm)

On Saturday 6th October, teachers are encouraged to brush off the cobwebs at an early morning conscious clubbing dance and wellbeing event - Morning Gloryville - and to dance their way into the day. The showcase hall will open on Saturday morning, and Teachmeet, Studentmeet, Researchmeet and Rang Bianca will take place. Senator Lynne Ruan will give a keynote, whilst the day’s panel discussion will be on ‘The 21st Century Classroom’
