The 28 Day February Cycling Challenge - will you be taking part?

Wintry months can be bleak, and drain you of your motivation. Sometimes new year's resolutions don't go quite to plan, and the January blues take over, parking your "new year, new you" goals....

That's where #2828 comes in, our 28 Day February Cycling Challenge. This is a personal challenge where you aim for a minimum of 28 minutes of cycling every day for the 28 days of February. If you can't cycle every day, why not throw in a bit of cross training: running, walking, swimming, weights, circuits, rowing... whatever it is that gets you out and about getting some fresh air. Turbos and spinning bikes are allowed also!

This is a facebook challenge so head on over and just click on the "interested" button on our FACEBOOK EVENT to join us for the month. Share your photos, your videos and your messages along the way, and we will share some tips along the way.

Cycle Right - Adult Cycle Training

The Road Safety Authority is now rolling out Adult Cycle Training, with the support of Cycling Ireland as part of the ongoing programme of CYCLE RIGHT, the National Cycling Training Standard.

The process starts with pilot training and we are looking for people to take part in them. These pilot courses will cover up to 200 participants for three hours of cycle road training, and will be fully funded by the RSA.

This training will specifically target those who are cycling, returning to cycling or wishing to cycle and will cover skills that competent, confident cyclists need to keep themselves safe on the road network.
